Discover one of the most beautiful national parks in France! We will start our week between Champagny and Pralognan in the middle of a very rich fauna and flora.
Then we will discover the Lac des Vaches at the foot of the highest peak in Vanoise, the Grande Casse. This weekend will allow us to get closer to the Vanoise glaciers.
To sum up the Vanoise: a territory rich in fauna, flora, lakes, summits and glaciers. It's a wonderful place!

D1 - Sunday 03/09 : Champagny-Le-Haut (1450m) - Bois des Frasses (1700m) - Refuge du plan des Gouilles (2350).
Warm up climb in a beautiful forest. At around 1750m, we leave for the mountain pastures under the glacier side of the Grand Bec (3398m). Arrival at the refuge in a quiet, isolated and exceptional panoramic site.

D2 - Monday 04/09: Plan des Gouilles refuge (2350m) - Grand Bec refuge (2400m) - Pralognan la Vanoise (1450m).
A varied and panoramic day towards the Grand Bec refuge. The trails are located on the alpine level under the great peaks of Vanoise. Passage of the Leschaux alpine pass. Beautiful descent into the valley and short transfer to Pralognan la Vanoise. Night in a comfortable gite.

D3 - Tuesday 05/09: Pralognan la Vanoise (1450m) - Lac des Vaches (2400m) - Vanoise Pass Refuge (2517m).
Mythical day in the Vanoise at the foot of the Grande Casse. Large lakes on the way up. After having put the bags down at the refuge, walk towards the Maurienne...

D4 - Wednesday 06/09: Refuge du col de la Vanoise (2517m) - Cirque du Grand Marchet (2205m) -Les Prioux (1711m).
A magnificent day in the heart of the Park. Wild cirque and alpine pass will follow one another. Descent to the Prioux valley. Possibility of a short transfer for the most tired. Night in a comfortable gite.

D5 - Thursday 07/09: Les Prioux (1711m) - Petit Mont Blanc (2677m) - Refuge du grand plan (2320m).
Ascent of the summit of the week, the Petit Mont Blanc, facing the Vanoise glaciers. The summit is whitewashed by its geological history. Then direction of the refuge by a superb valley. Possibility for those who want to go and see the Merlet lakes.

D6 - Friday 08/09 : Grand Plan refuge (2320m) - Mont Charvet ridge (2404m) - La Croix (1389m)
Last day punctuated by the crossing of the Mont Charvet ridge, unique and magnificent. Quite a long and varied descent into the valley for a mid-afternoon return.

The itinerary can be modified by the mountain leader according to weather conditions, snow conditions and the level of the participants or for reasons of accommodation availability.
The timetable is given as an indication only and does not include stops.
MEETING POINT: In Champagny le haut (1st car park at the entrance to the plateau on the right after the water reservoir) on Sunday 3 September 2023 at 1.30 pm.
TRAVEL: Carpooling from the Haute-Savoie is possible to get to and from the Vanoise. Information from the guide.
Dismissal on Friday 8 September 2023 around 4.00 pm.
PHYSICAL AND TECHNICAL LEVEL
For people who are trained to walk several hours a day and several days in a row. The walking times indicated do not include breaks. The walking pace will be slow.
NO PORTERAGE
Bag with your belongings for the day.
Your belongings follow in a small garbage bag limited to 1.3kg per person including: silk sheet, toiletries, spare items D1, D3, D5.
Your belongings limited to 6kg per person in a small travel bag J2, J4, J6.
THE WEIGHT OF YOUR BACKPACK SHOULD NOT EXCEED 6-8KG
Save room for the lunches that will be provided each day.
GROUP AND SUPERVISION

For this hike, you will be from 8 to 12 participants maximum.
A mountain guide with a state diploma in mountaineering will be in charge of the whole trip. You will evolve under his responsibility and he can modify the organisation according to the weather or technical constraints.

FORMALITIES
o Valid passport (in the case of a stay abroad) or identity card.
o Civil liability insurance: each participant must be covered for civil liability (in the context of a leisure hiking activity).
o Repatriation insurance is compulsory. Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. If you do not have it, AEM VOYAGES offers you a Europ Assistance contract including assistance/repatriation, cancellation and interruption of stay insurance and luggage and personal effects.
o Remember to ask for your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC, to be left behind only in the case of a stay abroad).
CONDITIONS TO BE RESPECTED
o Minimum age: 18 years.
o Medical certificate of fitness for hiking to be submitted before departure.
NOTE
Cancellation possible at least 15 days before departure in case of low participation, an alternative solution will be proposed.
