Comfort & Premium
The COMFORT room: steeped in the history of L'Auberge Nordique, it is more intimate and has preserved its charm.
The PREMIUM room: the room of change, modern with a large volume, it offers a pleasant, design and spacious night space and bathroom. Some have a mezzanine, others a large balcony facing south or on the same level in the forest.
Are you coming alone? You have the possibility to share a room with other holidaymakers, for a more economical holiday!

The chef's restaurant is located in the Auberge Nordique. Throughout the week, you can enjoy hearty and tasty meals, with the good taste of fresh and local cuisine. And as the Auberge offers full board, the meals are varied and balanced. And the chef optimises all meals with the aim of reducing waste and offering local cuisine without waste.

In the heart of the Auberge and on the edge of the woods, in an exceptional natural environment, a relaxation area blends into the decor: whirlpool bath, sauna, hammam, salt grotto, fitness room, solarium, massage room. For absolute relaxation and well-being, take advantage of the communal areas: lounges, bar, TV room, spa, board games, clothes and shoe drying room, tennis court, beach volleyball court, teepee...

Access to facilities
Shuttles linking the Auberge Nordique to Grand Bornand are available in winter and summer. The journey time is about 20 minutes. You can enjoy the life of this small mountain village all year round.
Le Grand Bornand offers: hiking on marked trails, a cinema, an ice rink, a market of local products on Wednesday mornings, a sledging/games area, an introduction to paragliding, a golf course, an accrobranche (tree climbing), a leisure centre with a summer swimming pool, etc.

Our History
The Auberge Nordique, an adventure that lasts since 40 years!
It all began with the initiative of Arthur Lequay, a former teacher with a passion for the mountains. He was the driving force behind the development of cross-country skiing in Grand-Bornand. It was in 1970 that the cross-country ski school opened its doors and took the form of an association.
It is in this continuity that the Auberge Nordique was created in 1979 in the form of an association. Its vocation is to offer, to enthusiasts as well as to beginners, an ideal and warm place to stay and practice, in the exceptional setting of the Bouchet valley, in the heart of Grand-Bornand. We make it a point of honour to preserve what is our strength: a friendly atmosphere, simplicity, passionate teams and stays that adapt to your desires.

Our labels
Since 2007, L'Auberge Nordique has been a member of the Cap France federation and its sustainable tourism label "Chouette Nature". Cap France is a federation which, for more than 60 years, has defended associative, family, social, human, ecological and fair tourism. We share not only the same quality requirements, but also the same holiday philosophy: all-inclusive packages with activities and entertainment for all.
In 2004, Cap France created its Chouette Nature label, to highlight its commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism, respectful of nature and people. In 2011, the federation became the very first tourism organisation to be certified ISO 14001 thanks to this approach, making Chouette Nature a real unifying corporate project.
The whole team is mobilized every day through concrete actions to implement and promote this label in order to ensure that we are part of this process in the long term:
- Organisation of selective sorting and implementation of composting
- Elimination of individual packaging
- Offering and promoting organic or fair trade products
- Creation of a "Trees and nesting boxes" discovery trail
- No use of pesticides or weed killers
- Monitoring of water and electricity consumption, with the aim of reducing it
- Eco-compensating for travel... And many other small everyday environmental actions and gestures!
