Waste management

Committed to sustainable tourism for over 10 years, the Auberge Nordique offers eco-responsible cuisine with maximum waste control. The Auberge Nordique wishes to reduce overconsumption and food waste, and therefore closely monitors its stock management.
The chef has set up a composting system for food waste which is regularly collected and transformed into gas by a partner.

Let's start from the beginning...

The breakfast !

And start with breakfast! Coffee, juice, pastries, bread, jams, Aravis honey, cheese or cold cuts... there is something for everyone. Refill your batteries before going out for a day of hiking, for example.

And for lunch

Going on a day trip? Think of taking your eco-friendly lunch box! You can compose it yourself, according to your needs and the activity you choose. Here, no products with single-use packaging, no plastic bottles, so remember to take your water bottle with you! Forgotten it? Don't panic, we have some for sale at the reception desk, in the Auberge's colours.

If you come back for lunch, the meal is served at regular time. The menu of the day is set and includes a starter, main course, cheese (with the inevitable Reblochon) and dessert. Wine and coffee are included in the lunch menu and are served at the table.
The chef's cuisine is balanced and varied, always adapted to the activities on offer.

Snacks !

Feeling hungry in the middle of the day? Want to have a snack? The bar, opposite the reception, offers you all sorts of drinks and snacks. Sweet treats (pancakes, waffles...) or savoury snacks (sausages, cold meats, cheese), here too everything has been thought of to offer snacks throughout the day to satisfy everyone's desires.
Cold drinks to enjoy on the terrace in summer, or hot chocolate to warm up in the cocooned relaxation area in winter, don't hesitate to consult the menu on site.
Any order taken at the bar is not included in the full-board price of your stay and must be paid directly on site.

And to finish with ...

And after the effort, the comfort. Put your feet under the table every evening and let yourself be carried away by the chef's culinary moods. For dinner, discover local products, cooked with care, to the delight of your taste buds.
The products are worked according to the seasons and the chef pays all his attention to the elaboration of authentic dishes reflecting the local cuisine which is part of the culture of Grand-Bornand.
