HIKING - CLIMBING OPTION

Sunday
Morning: Welcome and lunch at L’Auberge Nordique.
Afternoon: Introductory hike near the inn, “In the Bouchet Valley.”
Evening: Overview of the trip followed by a welcome cocktail.

Monday
Morning: Introduction to rock climbing at “La Culaz,” led by professional instructors. Located at an altitude of 1,500 meters, the site is easily accessible and offers moderate difficulty. Perfect for a beginner’s introduction in ideal conditions.
Afternoon: Free time

Tuesday
Day: Departing from the Confins Valley, a classic Aravis route featuring “La Combe de Tardevant” and its lake. Or why not try more rugged hikes, such as “La Combe de la Grande Forcle” and its large snowfield, or “La Porte des Aravis” with its large and spectacular breach offering a magnificent panorama. 6-hour hike, elevation gain of 800 to 1,000 m depending on the route.

Wednesday
Morning: Free morning. Option to visit the market in the village of Le Grand Bornand.
Afternoon and evening: Via Ferrata One of the best ways to experience the thrill of climbing is the Via Ferrata! Set directly into the cliff face, the Via Ferrata offers a spectacular route, perched between 1,500 and 1,800 m in altitude. The rock faces are equipped with rungs, footbridges, handrails, and cables, making them more accessible. Option to join the sunset and barbecue at “Lac de la Cour” after your activity (by car).

Thursday
Today’s destination: the legendary Pointe Percée The iconic peak of Le Grand-Bornand, Pointe Percée (2,750 m) is the highest point of the Aravis Range. Here we are at the gateway to the high mountains. No glaciers, but the landscape is rocky, with only a few flowers still appearing here and there. The ascent requires some short climbing sections where, little by little, the sense of height sets in. You then realize that you have truly left the world of the alpine pastures behind. 7 hours of hiking, elevation gain +1,050 m

Friday Day Hike: Starting from the Col des Annes, from the alpine pastures to the rocky landscape, this beautiful hike takes us “to the foot of the Pointe Percée” or toward “the Pointe de Chombas.” As a bonus, a fun experience: walking on Lapiaz! 6-hour hike, elevation gain +800m to 1000m depending on the route

Saturday
Free morning; end of the trip after lunch.

The Aravis region is full of trails, each more beautiful than the last. To keep things interesting, the guides are free to get creative and suggest other routes! Circumstances beyond our control may also lead us to modify the day’s routes and activities (weather, participants’ skill level, group safety, etc.).
