Day 1 - Sunday 01 September 2024
L'Écot (2020m) - Refuge des Evettes (2590m).
We meet in the early afternoon, at around 14:00, in the beautiful village of Bonneval-sur-Arc. Warm-up climb to the refuge via the magnificent Reculaz gorges. Settle in at around 17:00 at the Evettes hut.

Ascent: 600 m - Descent: 50 m - 2h30 walk.

Day 2 - Monday 02 September 2024
Evettes hut (2590m) - Grand Méan lake (2890m) - Bonneval-sur-Arc (1810m).
Departure from the refuge in the direction of the Grand Méan glacier. At the foot of the glacier is a young, pretty lake dating from the turn of the century. We return to the refuge to collect our belongings, then descend through splendid scenery towards Bonneval. Overnight in Bonneval.

Ascent: 500 m - Descent: 1100 m - 5 hours' walk.

D3 - Tuesday 03 September 2024
Bonneval-sur-Arc (1811m) - Lac Blanc (2753m) - Bonneval-sur-Arc (1811m).
A fine mountain day on the way to the Carro refuge. Picnic by a lake in a semi-mineral panorama. A panoramic day with beautiful views. Overnight in Bonneval.

Ascent: 900 m - Descent: 900 m - 5h30 walking time.

Day 4 - Wednesday 04 September 2024
Le Collet (1750m) - Refuge de Vallonbrun (2312m) - Refuge Cuchet (2160m) - Village de Mantet (1600m).
Transfer by vehicle to Lanslevillard. Climb up an adret with views of the Italian border. Magnificent balcony crossing from refuge to refuge on the legendary GR5. Descent directly to Lanslebourg or via Fontaniou, depending on the fitness of the group. Overnight in Val Cenis.

Ascent: 900m - Descent: 1000m - 5h00 walking time.

Day 5 - Thursday 05 September 2024
Petit Mont Cenis hut (2130m) - Col de Sollières (2639m) - Col de Bellecombe (2475m) - Petit Mont Cenis hut (2130m).
Transfer to the Col du Mont Cenis refuge. Then a day of 3 mountain passes, close to the Italian border. Magnificent scenery in a vast expanse overlooking Lake Mont Cenis. Fabulous. Night at the refuge.

Ascent: 800m - Descent: -800m - 5h00 walking time.

D6 - Friday 06 September 2024
Petit Mont Cenis refuge (2130m) - Lac de Savines (2447m) - Col de Savines (2477m) - Petit Mont Cenis refuge (2130m).
The last day is punctuated by a visit to Italy. Large, wild and steep valley. Passage to the Savines glacial lake. Depending on the shape of the group, there is the option of going to a shelter on the Italian side. Return to the refuge at around 15:00.

Ascent: 400m - Descent: 400m - 5h00 walking time.

PHYSICAL AND TECHNICAL LEVEL
For people who can walk several hours a day for several days in a row. The walking times given do not include breaks. The walking pace will be slow.

RENDEZ-VOUS
14:00 in Bonneval sur Arc at the foot of the ski lifts on Sunday 01 September 2024.
Dismissal on Friday 06 September 2024 at around 15:30 at the Col du Mont Cenis.

CARRYING
Bag with your gear for the day plus a change of clothes and toiletries for D1 and the afternoon of D2.
Bag with your gear for the day and picnic lunch on days 3, 4, 5, 6 and the morning of day 2.

TRAVEL
Car pooling is available from Haute-Savoie to get to and from the Maurienne. Ask the tour leader for details. Please note, however, that you will need to bring one or two vehicles with you.

GROUP SIZE AND SUPERVISION
Number of participants: 6 to 12 people. Supervision is provided by a qualified mountain guide. You will be working under his responsibility and he may modify the organisation according to weather or technical constraints. FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION
In refuges, gîtes or hotels.

ITINERARY
The itinerary may be modified by the mountain leader depending on weather conditions, snow conditions and the level of participants, or for reasons of accommodation availability.
Timetables are given as an indication only and do not include stops.

INSURANCE
We do not accept responsibility for personal liability.
To take part in our holidays and trips, you must have civil liability insurance and be covered for assistance, search and rescue, repatriation and mountain accidents.

The price includes:
✓ Supervision by a certified mountain leader
✓ Full-board accommodation and meals from dinner on D1 to picnic lunch on D6, including snacks and excluding picnic lunch on D1.

The price does not include:
✓ Transport to and from the meeting point.
✓ Picnic lunch on D1.
✓ Drinks or personal expenses.
✓ Auberge Nordique membership card (6€).
Cancellation and repatriation insurance. Check with your insurance if you are covered.
✓ Anything not included in "the price includes".
✓ Accommodation at the end of the trek.

FORMALITIES
✓ Valid passport (in the case of a stay abroad) or identity card.
✓ Civil liability: each participant must be covered for civil liability (in the context of a leisure hiking activity).
✓ Repatriation insurance is compulsory. Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. If you do not have any, AEM VOYAGES offers you a Europ Assistance contract including assistance/repatriation, trip cancellation and interruption insurance and luggage and personal effects.
✓ Remember to ask for your European health insurance card.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT
o Rucksack (approx. 40-45 litres).
o Trekking poles.
o Headlamp.
o Water bottle or plastic bottle of sparkling water + 1 x 50cl stainless steel thermos flask if there is a risk of bad weather.
o Plastic bowl or glass, folding knife and rigid plastic spoon.
o Hiking boots with notched soles in good condition.
o Sandals or "crocs" for the evening in the refuge.
o Silk or very fine sheet for the refuge (blankets or duvets provided).
o Transparent plastic bags to protect the clothes in the bag.

RECOMMENDED CLOTHING
o Thin cross-country wind-stopper gloves.
o Hat, cap.
o 2 breathable T-shirts and 1 breathable undershirt.
o 1 warm softshell or fleece jacket or jumper.
o 1 protective gore-tex jacket for rain and wind.
o 1 pair of breathable stretch hiking trousers and 1 pair of shorts.
o 1 long or ¾-length breathable thermal undergarment (odlo, patagonia...) for the night or under your walking trousers if it's cold or for a change when you arrive at the gîte if necessary.
o 2 pairs of mid-calf anti-bulge loop socks.

PERSONAL PHARMACY
o Earplugs ("boules quiess" type)
o Special dressings for blisters ("compeed" type) / various wound dressings / "elastoplast" bandages / disinfectant alcohol wipes
o Medication for pain and fever (aspirin or doliprane) / digestive problems ... to be checked with your doctor.
o Medication and list of allergies and/or contra-indications


MOBILE PHONES AND RECHARGING OF CAMERA BATTERIES
Access to telephone networks is uncertain in the mountains. A phone battery can last a week if you only turn it on from time to time.
