Sunday
Morning: Welcome and lunch at L'Auberge Nordique.
Afternoon: Short hike near the Auberge in the Bouchet Valley.
Evening: Presentation of the trip followed by a welcome drink.
Monday
Morning: familiarisation with equipment, checking technique and prerequisites, and exploring the trails of the Bouchet Valley in Le Grand-Bornand.
Afternoon: Tour du Danay - tackle your first mountain to learn how to optimise battery use.
15km, elevation gain + 800 to 900m depending on the route.
Tuesday
Day trip: outing with the historic plateaus of Glières and Les Auges as our destination.
Roads and 4x4 tracks on the way up, with possible variations on the way down depending on the participants' level.
Breathtaking views of the Aravis and Mont Blanc ranges.
52km, elevation gain approx. +1500m depending on the route.
Wednesday
Morning: free morning. Option to visit the market in the village of Le Grand Bornand.
Afternoon and evening: hike and barbecue at Lac de la Cour.
2 hours' walking, elevation gain +250/-250m.
Thursday
Day: outing with the week's goal of La Trans-Aravis - other options possible depending on conditions and the group's level.
48km, elevation gain approx. +1500m depending on the route.
Friday
Morning: tour of Mont Lachat via the mountain pastures.
26km, elevation gain +800 to 1000m depending on the route.
Afternoon: free time to enjoy the wellness area or visit Le Grand-Bornand.
Saturday: free morning, end of the stay after lunch.

The Aravis region is full of trails, each one more beautiful than the last. To add variety, instructors are free to use their imagination and suggest other itineraries!
Important
Participant level: L’Auberge Nordique cannot be held responsible if participants are found to be insufficiently skilled during their stay. Please note that this trip requires some prior technical experience of mountain biking.
In the mountains, temperature differences can be significant if the wind picks up or if there is a thunderstorm. It is better to bring warm and waterproof clothes even in summer.
The price includes :
o Full board accommodation from Sunday for lunch to Saturday after lunch. Coffee at lunchtime and wine at the table included.
o Supervision by instructors and guides in the chosen activities, from Sunday afternoon to Friday evening according to the programmes.
o Access to the wellness area and fitness area from 18 years old.
o Entertainment on certain evenings.
o Shuttle service "Village - Auberge Nordique" during the summer season.
o Bed linen and towels.
The price does not include :
o The membership card to the association of 6€ (compulsory).
o Tourist tax of 0,80€ per night and per adult over 18 years old (rate 2026).

Equipement
For mountain biking trips:
o Helmet
o Pair of gloves
o Clothing suitable for mountain biking
o Windbreaker
o Protective eyewear
o Water bottle
o Valid identity card or passport.
o Medium backpack (about 30 litres) for the day's belongings and picnic.
o Large plastic bag or 1 overbag to protect your backpack.
o The Auberge Nordique does not put plastic bottles in the picnic baskets! Bring a water bottle or a container for the hikes (1,5L minimum).
o Pocket knife, cup and reusable cutlery for picnics.
o A pair of very protective sunglasses (CE 3 or 4 index essential).
o Tube of sun cream and 1 lip stick, with a high sun protection factor.
o Camera and binoculars (optional).
For the week :
o A change of clothes.
o Indoor shoes or a pair of slippers.
o Swimsuit and extra towel to access the wellness area or to go to the village swimming pool (possibility to rent at L'Auberge Nordique).
Pharmacy :
o Your usual medicines.
o Painkillers, preferably paracetamol.
o Adhesive or elastic bandages (Elastoplast type, 6cm wide).
o Sets of adhesive bandages and disinfectant pads.
o Double skin (anti-ampulla plasters)
