D1 - Monday 25 August 2025
La Motte en Champsaur Parking les Infournas (1370m) - Chaillol village (1430m).
The first afternoon is a warm-up, taking us along a pretty balcony path. We then arrive at the picturesque village of Chaillol.
Ascent: 700m - Descent: 600m - 3h30 walking time.

D2 - Tuesday 26 August 2025
Chaillol village (1430m) - Le Crest (2175 m) - Col de Venasque (2487 m) - Planure (1900m) - Les Gondoins (1315m).
A fine climb through forest and mountain pasture to the Col de Venasque, from where we drop down into the vast Planure valley. A gentle path takes us to Les Gondouins.
Ascent: 1050 m - Descent: 1200 m - 6h30 walking time.

D3 - Wednesday 27 August 2025
Les Gondouins (1315m) - Les Auberts (1470 m) - Col du Cheval de bois (2473 m) - Refuge du Pré de la Chaumette (1800m).
A day's hiking among torrents and waterfalls, culminating at the Col du Cheval de Bois, so we can enjoy the mountain atmosphere.
Ascent: 1200 m - Descent: 700 m - 6h30 walking time.

D4 - Thursday 28 August 2025
Refuge du Pré de la Chaumette (1800m) - Col de la Vallette (2668 m) - Refuge de Vallompière (2600m) - Refuge Xavier Blanc (1400m).
A beautiful day with a succession of high passes. Descent via the Vallonpierre cirque, an enchanting site at the foot of the Sinac (3441m), glaciers with chamois and marmots
Difference in altitude ascent: 1150 m - Difference in altitude descent: 1500 m - 7h30 walk.

D5 - Friday 29 August 2025
Refuge Xavier Blanc (1400m) - Refuge du Sap (1408m) - Le Chapeau (2371m) - Navette (1326m) - La Chapelle en Valgaudemar (1167m) -
Superb stage between mountain pastures, streams and summits revealing the north face of the old Chaillol. Arrive in the pretty village of La Chapelle en Valgaudemar.
Ascent: 1050 m - Descent: 1200 m - 7h30 walking time.

D6 - Saturday 30 August 2025
La Chapelle en Valgaudemar (1167m) - Lac de Pétarel (2100m) - Villar Loubière (1040m)
A day to admire the Valgaudemar range and the reflection of L'Olan in the Pétarel lakes.
Gentle descent to the valley floor.
Ascent: 950 m - Descent: 1050 m - 5h30 walking time.

PHYSICAL AND TECHNICAL LEVEL
For people who can walk several hours a day for several days in a row. The walking times given do not include breaks. Good walkers in good physical condition.

RENDEZ-VOUS
Monday: La Motte en Champsaur around 12.30pm.
Saturday: dispersal at La Motte en Champsaur around 2.30pm.

CARRYING EQUIPMENT
Bag with your gear for the day and lunch. Bag weight approx. 6 kg.
Your change of clothes will follow every evening in a bag weighing no more than 6 kg - except on D3, when you should bring a plastic bag with your change of clothes (max 1.5 kg).

TRAVEL
Car-pooling from Le Grand-Bornand to the starting point is possible, depending on the number of places. Ask the tour leader for details.

GROUPS AND GUIDANCE
Number of participants: 7 to 12. Supervision is provided by a qualified mountain guide. You will be working under his responsibility and he may modify the organisation according to weather or technical constraints.

o Full board accommodation and meals (picnic lunch) from dinner on D1 to picnic lunch on D6, excluding picnic lunch on D1.

The price does not include
o Transport to and from the meeting point.
o Picnic lunch on D1.
o Drinks or personal expenses.
o Auberge Nordique membership card (6€).
o Mountain insurance: we advise you to take out insurance to cover your civil liability for the activity in question and, in the event of an accident, to cover the cost of rescue, repatriation home and reimbursement of additional medical expenses
o Everything not included in the ‘price includes’.
o Accommodation at the end of the trek.

INSURANCE
We do not accept responsibility for personal liability.
To take part in our holidays and trips, you must have civil liability insurance and be covered for assistance, search and rescue, repatriation and mountain accidents.

FORMALITIES
o Valid passport (in the case of a stay abroad) or identity card.
o Third-party liability: each participant must be covered for third-party liability (in the case of a leisure hiking activity).
o Repatriation insurance is compulsory. Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. If you do not have it, AEM VOYAGES offers you a Europ Assistance contract including assistance/repatriation, cancellation and interruption of stay insurance and luggage and personal effects insurance.
o Remember to ask for your European health insurance card.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT
o Rucksack (approx. 40-45 litres).
o Trekking poles.
o Headlamp.
o Water bottle or plastic bottle of sparkling water + 1 x 50cl stainless steel thermos flask if there is a risk of bad weather
o Plastic bowl or glass, folding knife and rigid plastic spoon.
o Hiking boots with notched soles in good condition.
o Sandals or ‘crocs’ for the evening in the refuge.
o Silk or very thin sheet for the refuge (blankets or duvets provided).
o Transparent plastic bags to protect clothes in the bag.

RECOMMENDED CLOTHING EQUIPMENT
o Thin cross-country ski wind-stopper gloves
o Hat, cap.
o 2 breathable T-shirts and 1 breathable undershirt.
o 1 softshell jacket or jumper, fleece ... warm.
o 1 protective gore-tex jacket for rain and wind.
o 1 pair of breathable stretch hiking trousers and 1 pair of shorts.
o 1 long or ¾-length breathable thermal undergarment (odlo, patagonia...) for the night or under your walking trousers if it's cold, or for a change when you arrive at the gîte if you need it.
o 2 pairs of mid-calf, anti-bulge bouclette hiking socks.

PERSONAL EQUIPMENT
o Small toiletries and earplugs
o Small chemist's (with prescription): medicines, Arnica, doliprane, elastoplast, blister dressings.
o Index 4 sunglasses (contact lenses not recommended), sun cream.
o Identity and insurance papers, telephone numbers, money, etc. in a mini waterproof pouch.

PORTABLE PHONES AND BATTERY RECHARGE
Access to telephone networks is uncertain in the mountains
A telephone battery can last a week if you only switch it on from time to time.
